For its 10th anniversary, the Hospitality Awards ceremony elected a new space in order to accommodate even more participants. This was a fortunate initiative because the Salon Opéra at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand made a good impression on the 800 participants with its grandiose decor worthy of the most important professional event hosted by the capital. Despite the economic context that continues to be depressed and disappointing hotel results, the great family of the hotel industry convened in order to demonstrate its confidence in the future and to celebrate the constant innovations of the sector. Through their managers, more than a hundred national and international brands were represented in the room, meaning more than half the world's hotel industry, or more than 10 million employees and at least 150 billion dollars in turnover. The winners of the 10 trophies awarded last November 25, 2009 and the consecration of a figure and a hotel group are symbolic of the dynamism and the spirit of adaption that are manifest at all levels.
