The Rezidor Hotel Group announced that the first two properties developed in collaboration with the Italian luxury fashion dynasty, Missoni, will open in early 2009 in Edinburgh, Scotland (136 rooms and suites) and Kuwait City (200 rooms). The brand represents a new standard of lifestyle hotels which embraces the traditional Italian family values of warmth and hospitality. The Edinburgh and Kuwait properties are the first within the Hotel Missoni portfolio, which will see 30 hotels open or under development within 10 years. The initial development focus will be on Europe and the Middle East, but will quickly expand to North America, South America and Asia.
